I would like to use the existing detached garage as a foundation of a new living structure. I'd also like it to be geometrical, modern/contemporary with a lot of natural light. Because of the unique nature of my property, I'd like to keep the footprint small by using piling construction or a cantilevered design (depending on cost). I'm looking for unique, but not too unusual...I want it to look nothing like modern colonial construction.
I'm looking for design concepts right now, and if I'm pleased, will request more detailed drawings.
My property is a flat waterfront lot that also abuts a state park. There's water on two sides, a neighbor on one side, and the street on the other. I have no neighbors across the street.
Things that are important to incorporate into the design:
Master + 3 bed & office/den (1-2 loft bed rooms)
3 full baths
Lots of storage/closets
Roof top decks
Attached greenhouse w/raised beds (would like to be able to grow a small tree)
Windows...and lots of them
