I would like to build a front porch for my brick workman's cottage style home in Chicago.
I would like it to be a nice space to relax, read the paper, have a drink, and watch people passing by in the neighborhood with my wife and toddler son.
I'd like the style to complement the facade of the home which is built in 1900. I'm open to many different design styles, but have a preference for simple designs without ornamentation. I'm open to either traditional or a more modern style. If modern, I just want to make sure it complements (and doesn't starkly contrast with) the existing home.
