The design concept of the kitchen has been built around the existing circulations of the space, minimal lines and shapes, a touch of the French countryside (carreaux de ciment) and natural flooring, all to be painted in a warm pallet of colours.
It is sometimes difficult to blend the modern with a warm feel of wellcome, but a correct colour pallet, some timber touch and a personal pattern choice, of the carreaux de ciment, could bring a natural texture into the kitchen creating a warm space. The wood veneer has a fine vertical grain, its appearance creating a uniform pattern which is both minimal and modern, yet warm. While unfortunate for depositing space, the less wall cabinets, the better: this way there is an opening of space which gives an airy feel.
The stacked wall ovens are easier to use and the food cooking inside easier to supervise. Please note that the appliances I used (Jenn air as per your range, except washing machine and dryer) are indicative, and hopefully the dimensions will match the ones you choose.
The counter top is granite Nero absoluto, and has a 'shark nose' end, this means a thin line appearance with a small round shape which shows a modern line.
The proposed cork flooring comes in many shades and textures, it is sound absorbent, natural, saves the falling glasses, but it needs to be perfectly sealed.
Thank you for reviewing the project and good luck with the refurbishment. If you do choose this project and the website admins permit it, I would like to assist you during the building of the project.
