We purchased a 1936 Midwestern colonial in 2013 and have done extensive work on the interior. The front of the house, however, is unremarkable and underwhelming. We would like a face lift for the front of our home that includes landscaping to lower the grade of the front yard so that it is flat, rather than sloping, and to get rid of the retaining wall now present.
We would also like to widen the garage to fit two-cars and spiff up the entry way to make the home more inviting.
We do not want to disturb the original limestone façade of the home. The roof is new and should remain, although it can be disturbed to add a dormer or similar appendage. The three upstairs front double hung windows are new and should remain. The two sets of French doors on the first floor are original and operating, though we are open to replacing them. We do not want to change the floorplan of the home's interior in any way with this project.
