This is beautiful. We want this to be a great idea, but need way more information. We scored 0 points for "buildability", selection criteria met, and graphic material because we only see 2 graphics. Without an idea of layout and structure, we can't really score for these. We can change the scores if we see more detail, though!
This is consistent with desired theme.
Thank you for your submission! Splitting up the toilet and shower was an interesting idea. However, each of the spaces are so closed off that it makes the space feel even smaller.
The Design budget was $95K. The walls alone will cost $200K. none of the details were provided. For instance: 1. Details and sourcing of ALL funiture 2. White boards are not provided for 3. Where do we get the furniture from 4. Lighting is totally ignored 5. Design brief was altered
proposal met the requirements. but limited creativity.
Thanks for your submission, the house is attractive, but is for another client as it has not complied with any of the basic requirements I have stated in the TOR: you modified the pool and moved the front peripheral wall, actually making my property smaller, and your façade is not a Spanish-Mediterranean style. Also, despite being clearly requested, you set the Japanese room on the second floor, on the opposite side of the house from the Japanese garden. I wonder also why you set the family/TV room on the corridor of the second floor, and why you put a fireplace in the living room. I am sorry, but I cannot evaluate your proposal with high score. Thanks for your kind effort anyhow
Thank you for your time and effort. The competition was really stiff this time. Probably the colors were a bit too bold indoor. And maybe the contrast could've been smoother.
Dear Architect, Thanks very much for this excellent submission. And thanks again for introducing use of rammed earth which has been a cultural identity of the maasai who come from Kisaju. We are grateful you participated! Is it possible to get the sketch up or .dwg files Kind regards David Nahinga
Loved your design. Your thoughts are unique and different. Thank you for your participation. You will be invited again for our 2nd round.
I truly like the presentation of the 3D images of the house. Can you ber engaged on another project to create such 3D impressions? I like the simplistic nature of the designs though we felt the upper and lower floor needed to be designed as one single space. The idea of an external access stairway to the bedrooms can work really well should one decide to rent out the space. Thanks a lot for participating. Looking forward to collaboration in our future projects. David www.ujenzibora.com
We appreciated the effort as demonstrated by the 3D renderings. I think our largest problem with this submission is it lacked a floorplan to help us see the whole house. And, because of the changes to the footprint of the home we couldnt really see where we were and understand how things came together. We think what would have helped us if all the materials we required were included.
Great plan. Like the idea of the mirror.
I like the steps leading directly into the pool, however I wonder if the topo is accurate.
This entry opened up the family, kitchen, and dining area, which was definitely a goal of ours. However, we thought the kitchen didn't offer a lot of counter space close enough together. The design didn't really meet our style and there weren't enough materials for us non-architects to be able to envision the design. Thank you very much for your submission.
The floor plan of this design is fairly functional. Carports are not typically viable in my market. The third story living space is a nice addition but its walls cannot be visible to the exterior. It will be out of character with this particular neighborhood with 3 stories exposed this close to the street. Would have been nice if this designer had incorporated more of the actual site details in his exterior views.
Unfortunately, this submission fell short of the narrative and program that was desired. The design for the kitchen doesn't match with a dimensioned plan making the images nice to look at but not quite buildable. An overall unit plan as well as a dinensioned bathroom plan are missing.
Main living is not facing unobstructed view...home is not grounded, the lift off the ground is opposite what we are looking for. Far more modern than we specified. Layout and plans hard to read. Design feels blocky and uninteresting.
thanks for submission, only comments would be about the placement of the kitchen/living/dinning with regard to pool area and the master running the whole length infront of pool.. The entrance is also a bit confusing... The master suite is very well laid out, as well as all the other bedrooms.
This is really out of scope. I don't know what else to say.
Hi, Thanks for the submission. Is it possible for you to change the facade and make it more rectangular than round? It's a very small build area and round facade will end up wasting lots of space on the sides. Thanks
