Attached are several design boards illustrating my concepts for your space. The design I’ve created emphasizes an open space with an up-to-date color scheme that flows well and is not hindered or complicated with unnecessary furniture or accessories.
As you requested, I’ve removed your tub completely and replaced it with a shower stall – covered completely in beautiful gray, classic subway tile. As you requested, I’ve also allowed room for a washer/dryer combo unit. You’ll note that I’ve added a privacy wall for the toilet area. This helps to delineate the space and allows for dual use of the room. You had a concern about moving the toilet. Since I don’t have the precise current distance from the wall to the toilet, I can’t know for absolute sure but, I believe any movement of the toilet for my design would be minimal. I show the floor tiled in Carrera marble which ties in with your inspiration photo. However, that option can also be changed to a black and white patterned porcelain tile if you wish. ALL pieces in the room are readily available in the United States from everyday-type outlets – Costco, Lowes, Home Depot, online vendors, etc. Although the design of the room is drastically different from its look today, I do believe that this job can be kept within your budget with smart choices and perhaps a bit of help from the homeowner. I truly believe that beautiful design changes do not have to cost an arm and a leg!
So, there you have it. Again, all the pieces on the design board and the renderings are actually pieces which are available in the United States. The paint is Behr paint from Home Depot. I’d be happy to share the lists of furniture, lighting, washer/dryer and materials with you when you choose to work with me on your design. Thank you for the opportunity to work on your space – I had a lot of fun with it, and look forward to the possibility to continue working with you!
