We would like to change the facade of the front and rear of the house. We'd like to make an addition in the front of the house that creates an addition on the right and left hand sides. The right side will be the garage and the left will be exapanding and creating a grand foyer and living room. In addition we are looking to expand the rear second floor master to embrace the views of the home. A preliminary drawing has been done.
We want to keep the main roof to keep costs down.
The current has 3 car garage, 2 on the side and 1 direct. The 2 car side we want to incorporate into the house to allow for a dining room. The problem is that because there is a 20 inch elevation difference from the garage to the house, incorporating it will require elevation of the ceiling, thus affecting the floor of the current bonus room. This requires the roof to be raised, however will allow for the bonus room to have a normal ceiling.
The new design MUST HAVE the addition of the front right portion that moves the entrance with a more symmetric balanced view along with a circular driveway. We are looking for a grand entrance with 2 story ceilings as well.
The current design we uploaded needs to have the main entrance moved slightly to the left to allow us not to have to move the ceiling line but rather take the current central gable and move it forward. Making this change also shifts the second floor.
Since we're taking the 2 car garage, we'd like to add a connection to the house via the second floor and create a french style 2 car garage with a porte cochere. I'm not sure the size of the motor court required to accomplish this. The front width of the property is 120 feet by appx 155 feet length.
